BOXPARK, the offbeat outdoor destination by Meraas is ready to get ‘UnBoxed’ with a three-day launch event packaging a host of youthful and edgy activities.
Held from Thursday, 26 November to Saturday, 28 November 2015, visitors to the destination can experience boxed entertainers, children’s entertainment and a variety of cool and hip performances.
Larger than life boxes will be lined up across BOXPARK disguising exhilarating drumming performances that will be revealed at intervals. In addition, several smaller boxes will also be randomly placed across the venue housing talented dancers who will break into vibrant performances at scheduled times. Visitors can exult in overhead acrobatic performances that complement the drummers and dancers at various locations.
The three-day launch event will also host action packed multi-disciplinary performances including break-dancing, street dancing, BMX acrobats, beat-boxing and contortionists.
Furthermore, guests to BOXPARK can enjoy thrilling parkour performances unleashed throughout the day on Friday, 27 November, with their death-defying stunts presented on the walls of BOXPARK at 2:00pm, 4:00pm, 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
Children will find a host of entertaining activities awaiting them at the Kids Park with games such as giant Jenga, giant snakes and ladders, hopscotch, and magic shows. Additionally a special light show has been arranged across the offbeat destination from 6:00pm to 1:00am.
Featuring an alternative architectural design with a funky, industrial vibe, BOXPARK incorporates over 200 brightly-coloured containers, with graffiti-blended exteriors to set the tone for a cool collection of offbeat experiences along the street side. BOXPARK is a meeting point for the youth and those young at heart featuring cafes like Yamaha Café, Classic Cars Cafe or BikesnBites to appeal to motoring hobby groups and trendy concepts like Typo, OnePiece, Toms, Swatch or Liv – which have an uber-cool appeal.
