Leading global engineering group Cavotec is preparing to underline the crucial role that power delivery systems play in keeping today’s 24-7 cities moving.
As society becomes increasingly dependent on technology to accomplish everyday tasks, the need for uninterrupted power supply, while keeping environmental impact to a minimum, means that energy-efficient technologies have never been more important.
At the 17th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), an industry event organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to be held on 21st – 23rd April 2015, Cavotec will present the Group’s innovative power delivery solutions that maintain the constant flow of electricity from power authorities to residences, offices and businesses across the city.
Cavotec has worked closely with DEWA on numerous projects over the past two decades including the supply of cable management systems to DEWA’s power plants and substations, as well as high amperage plugs and sockets to the authority’s 132kV and 400kV substations.
Cavotec’s Power Connectors have been present in the field of industrial power supply for more than 20 years, starting in the harsh environment of Scandinavian mines and hydro-electric tunnels. A testament to the durability and dependability of Cavotec connectors for critical low and high voltage applications, their robust design incorporates standard IP 66 protection and a standard maximum temperature of 80°C. Today, the high quality, strength and integral safety of Cavotec connectors have set industry standards for high and low voltage power supply to many different types of equipment.
“Through the successful relationship Cavotec has maintained with DEWA in the past 20 years, we have cemented our reputation as a leader in the field of power delivery, an activity that demands reliability and durability. We are showcasing our technologies at WETEX 2015 to extend the same advantages of our sophisticated solutions from which DEWA has benefited to other utility authorities across the Middle East. We also wish to express our commitment to working with DEWA in the years to come through our participation in this event,” Mr. Juergen Strommer, COO EMEA, commented.
