Leading recruitment technology company Cazar has just launched a new mobile careers website for its long standing client, Al-Futtaim, a leading diversified conglomerate operating across 30 markets.
Afuturewithus.com, which boasts almost as much traffic as some job boards, was one of the first UAE-based careers sitesthat Cazar launched almost 10 years ago, and it has kept evolving to adapt to the region’s continuously changing recruitment landscape.
The site lets users find out more about Al-Futtaim and apply to the jobs available within the company’s various brands.
The move to a mobile platform came as a result of the substantial increase in mobile usage across the Middle East in recent years.
Mohammed Owais, Chief Technology Officer at Cazar comments, “Our analysis shows that close to 30% of the average 250,000 people who visitedthe Al-Futtaim careers site on a monthly basis, came through a mobile device.”
The company’scareers site remains a key channel for attracting candidates and an interface for sourcing top talent for the business. It provides an optimal viewing experience, easy reading and navigation across a range of devices from desktop monitors, to tablets and mobile phones.
According to recent studies, mobile phones accounted for 50% of all pages served in the UAE in 2015, which represents 72% more than in the US, where only 29% of pages were served on mobile.
Mr. Owais explains, “Candidates in the UAE, especially in the 18 to 35 age group, are increasingly using their mobile device to look for jobs. So if an employer cannot deliver a mobile search and application experience, they are missing out on a huge portion of the talent marketplace.”
Afuturewithus.com’s mobile launch comes just in time for Google’s recent algorithm change designed to favor mobile optimized websites.
