The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 385 per cent.
Subscriptions worth BD77m were received for the BD20m issue, which carries a maturity of 182 days.
The expected return on the issue, which begins on 18 December 2014 and matures on 18 June 2015, is 0.82 per cent equivalent to 0.82 per cent for the previous issue on 13 November 2014.
The Sukuk Al-Ijara are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
