Complex Made Simple

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi expands access to healthcare

Multispecialty hospital signs agreements with AXA and NAS

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi has signed agreements with two additional insurance providers, expanding patient access to complex and critical care provided in its more than 30 specializations across 12 Institutes, including Heart & Vascular, Neurological, Eye, Digestive Disease, and Respiratory & Critical Care.

The newly announced agreements provide access to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi for patients enrolled in AXA’s Star Plus network and select comprehensive network plans of NAS Administration Services (NAS).

In addition, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi accepts select Daman enhanced and Thiqa plans, as well as patients who wish to self-pay.

“Expanding patient access to our services is of the upmost importance as we continue our next phase of growth and support our mission of helping to reduce the need for patients to travel abroad for complex and critical care,” said Tomislav Mihaljevic, MD, Chief Executive Officer, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. “Our partners at AXA and NAS share our commitment to enhancing the patient experience, and I’m thrilled that together we’ll have the opportunity to support the acute healthcare needs of more patients in the UAE community.”

Patients can consult their insurance providers to determine eligibility for claims reimbursement. Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi also offers Financial Counselors who provide financial advice. Financial Counselors are available by calling Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Contact Center at 800 8 CCAD (800 8 2223).

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi does not offer orthopedics, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and is not a trauma center. The hospital is unable to accept patients under the age of 14, with the exception of the Eye and Emergency Medicine Institutes.
