Czech Republic aims to increase volume of trade exchange with Saudi Arabia

Republic will “enter into projects focused on nuclear energy, information technology and protection of environment”

The trade exchange between the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amounts to $360 million, says Czech minister of industry and trade, Jan Mládek.

Revealing the features of an investment plan adopted by his country to increase trade exchange with Saudi Arabia, Mládek says: “ Czech will enter projects focused on several sectors, notably nuclear energy, information technology (ITC) and the protection of the environment.”

He points out that the trade volume between the two countries during the last period recorded an increase of $55m and by up to 5 per cent.

The minister told Saudi-based Okaz newspaper that the new economic legislation developed by the Saudi government will advance the national economy.

He says: “The atmosphere is very suitable for the implementation of a number of economic projects in the kingdom,” pointing out that the Czech Republic seeks to take advantage of these investment opportunities, given that it has the potentials that allow it to enter several projects, particularly with regard to the special technologies such as Tatra cars.
