DHA bags six awards at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government

Dubai Health Authority’s innovation team won the best innovation team award. Sheikha Al Rahoomi, Director of Customer Relations at the DHA received the award.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) bagged six awards at the annual ceremony for the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government which took place today at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government is the first and most prestigious award to recognize and reward public services in Dubai. The award was launched in 2013 as part of an integrated program that seeks to lay the foundation of Smart Government in Dubai, through improving the work of the government machinery and applying the Smart Government initiative. This is in accordance with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to improve government services and as per directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to transform to the Smart Government Model.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Emirates airline and Chief Executive of the Emirates Group presented the awards to the winners.

DHA won awards in the following categories:

Dr Mohamed Fawzy Moustafa, Consultant ENT at Dubai Hospital and Dr Fahd Baslaib, head of cardiology at Rashid Hospital won the best service star award in the people category.

Amani Al Jassmi, Director of Information Technology, received the award for the best m-government service category for the DHA’s Tifli( my baby) app.

Dr Wafa Ayesh, Director of Clinical Nutrition at the DHA received the award for the best public-private partnership for the ‘We Feed You’ initiative.

Dr Layla Al Marzouqi, Director of Health Regulation and Director of the Dubai Medical Tourism Project received the number one award in the services and initiatives category for Sheryan, which is an online licensing system.
