Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 22, 2015: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) honoured 500 employees for their innovative initiatives and distinctive work that has helped further improve the functioning of the health sector.

The felicitation ceremony took place during the first annual gathering of DHA employees which was held today at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

HE Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the DHA congratulated the winners and highlighted the importance of adopting innovative strategies and approaches to improve the functioning of the health sector and to constantly upgrade the quality of health services across hospitals and health centres, which not only helps better serve the community but also acts as a catalyst for the growth of medical tourism in Dubai.

Al Qatami highlighted that it is the aim of the DHA to develop a world class healthcare model for Dubai.

Al Qatami also congratulated the staff for bagging six awards at the annual ceremony for the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government which took place today at the Dubai World Trade Centre

He said creative and innovative staff members are the pillars of an organisation and he thanked employees for their dedication and commitment.
