Dubai International Jewellery Week opens tomorrow

20,000 visitors are expected to descend on Dubai International Jewellery Week.

Shoppers are gearing up for the ultimate jewellery experience,as Dubai International Jewellery Week, the Middle East’s most distinguished jewellery event, opens tomorrow, just in time for the festive season.

Now in its 20thyear, the four-day jewellery extravaganza will return to Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from 9 – 12 December 2015, featuring collections from over 300 exhibitors from 25 different countries. It is set to become a shopper’s paradise, as visitors will be treated to exceptional deals and outstanding choices from some of the most cutting edge collections from around the world.

During the free-to-attend event, shoppers can expect to see over 140,000 jewellery pieces from around the world and 50,000 of these pieces will be featured for the first time in Dubai. Precious stones, diamonds, pearls and watches are just some of the show-stopping items on display.

One-of-a-kind pieces will also be making their debut at the event, ensuring that there are beautiful pieces available for every budget and every occasion.

“We are confident that Dubai International Jewellery Week will be the ultimate jewellery shopping experience, offering not only a platform for local, regional and international established jewellers to showcase the best of the industry under one roof, but also for up and coming designers to exhibit new designs to discerning audiences,” Loh Mirmand added.

Top exhibiting brands and companies at Dubai International Jewellery Week include Amwaj, Dhamani Jewels, Hazoorilal Legacy, Mahallati Jewellery, Nsouli, Salem Al Shueibi, Suzanne Kalan, Temptations, Yessayan and Zela to name a few, from as far afield as Hong Kong, Russia, India, Lebanon, Turkey, UAE and USA.

One of the international exhibitors travelling to Dubai for the event is Henry Jewellery, which has been creating pioneering designs for thirty years. Mr Danny Lo, the company’s manager in Hong Kong, believes the event will provide the ideal platform to showcase his collections in the Middle East: “From 8k to 18k gold, semi-precious stones and pearls, we devote ourselves to adding value to the customer. Our collections include ranges named ‘Less Is More’, ‘B.L.D’ and ‘Be One’ and we can’t wait to meet the crowds in Dubai and showcase our high quality and beautiful designs. The event itself provides a great opportunity to meet and greet jewellery enthusiasts, with the Middle East market having some of the most discerning shoppers in the world.”

The 20th edition of the showwill include a number of new features such as an all-new Luxury Avenue showcasing the most exquisite jewellery designers from around the world, as well as dailyinteractive fashion andstyling workshops with image consultant, WafaToutounji from Applique Stylist, and a Beauty Hub with Joelle Group offering mini beauty services for women.

International make-up artist and beauty expert, Joelle Mardinian, will be present for a meet and greet with fans, during which she will also share a sneak-peak at upcoming make-up and fashion trends. What’s more, visitors will also be treated to demonstrations from a jewellery artisan at work on the making of a jewel from wax, as well as from world renowned holistic therapist and wellness expert, Mariam Yasin. She will be taking visitors on an exciting journey into the dazzling world of gemstones and why it’s so important to choose the right one for you.Finally, visitors will also be able to see some of the beautiful Fabergé egg collections at the event. Created between the 1880s to the late 1910, these famous eggs were gifted to the Russian Czars, Alexander III and Nicholas II for their family and replicas are still being sold across the globe today.

Lucky shoppers will also have the opportunity to win diamond jewellery and beauty vouchers during their visit. Raffle draws and the chance to style a featured dress will also provide shoppers with the chance to win some fantastic – not to be missed – prizes.

Dubai International Jewellery Week will take place from 9 – 12 December 2015 and will open from 2 pm to 10 pm, Saturday to Thursday and 3 pm to 10pm of Friday. Entry to the show is free of charge. Visitors will be required to register onsite and must carry valid ID documents.
