Dubai residents to be screened for diabetes

Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has announced it is soon to start screening hundreds of thousands of Dubai residents to determine whether they are at high risk of developing diabetes, Gulf News has reported. Starting from September 15, every patient visiting a primary health centre in the emirate will be given a questionnaire that will help detect if they are at risk of acquiring the deadly disease. The UAE ranks among the top ten countries, which have a significant diabetic population of 18.7%.
