Egypt to start implementing law regulating work of medical professionals

Egyptian health minister, Dr Maha Al-Rabat has said that the implementation of the first phase of a law regulating the work of medical professionals in the government is to begin in January, Daily News Egypt has reported. The draft law will be presented to the cabinet for approval within the next few days, the minister said. The new legislation, which will be applied in stages until July 2016, will benefit 464,000 physicians, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, nurses, science graduates including chemists, physicists, technical nursing staff, medical technicians, and health professionals, Al-Rabat said.
