Egypt’s Prime Minster discusses trade exchange with Russia

Egyptian government keen to speed up completion of steps to expand Russian contribution to giant projects

Egypt’s Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail, discussed ways to encourage and increase Egyptian agricultural product exports to Russia with the Russian Ambassador in Cairo, Egypt-based Al Wafd Newspaper reports.

Ambassador Hossam Al Qawish, the government’s official spokesman, states that, during the meeting with the Russian ambassador, Eng. Sherif Ismael stressed the need to facilitate procedures in order to increase Egypt’s agricultural exports to Russia, to increase trade exchange rates between the two countries.

He also stressed on the keenness of the Egyptian government to speed up the completion of all the steps that will expand the Russian contribution to giant projects that are currently being implemented in Egypt.

Agriculture Minister Essam Fayed points out that the ministry is working currently on implementing steps and procedures that guarantee the encouragement of agricultural and dairy products’ exports to Russia.

The Russian Ambassador during the meeting mentioned ongoing preparations to receive the Egyptian Minister of Electricity in Russia, where they would discuss areas of cooperation between the two countries in the field of electricity.

He confirms Russia’s readiness to provide all the expertise required to Egypt in the electricity sector.
