The Emirates Foundation for Philanthropy has granted three UAE universities a total of Dhs2m to upgrade their laboratory and research infrastructure. As part of the grant, the UAE University received Dhs1m to enhance its medicine and health science laboratories at the College of Engineering, while Dhs500,000 was awarded to Zayed University for the upgrade of its College of Arts and Sciences laboratory. The University of Sharjah also received Dhs500,000 for its College of Medicine and Health Sciences. The grant is aimed at strengthening the country's research infrastructure, with plans to award different institutions every year.
