First batch of DHA doctors have completed their graduation in clinical research training that was conducted in collaboration with Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Jamila Al Shaikh, Director of Department of Medical Education at the Dubai Health Authority, said: “ The Dubai Health Authority pays significant emphasis to medical research. In line with the Dubai Health Strategy 2013-2025 that aims to promote and support medical research, the DHA granted 15 scholarships for clinicians across different specialties for this training course.”
Dr. Mahera Abdulrahman, Head of Research Section at Dubai Health Authority, said: “The six-month certificate program included lectures, webinars, and practical workshops, plus individual and team research projects. Moreover, the program’s curriculum emphasized skill-based and team-based peer-to-peer learning.”
She added that such programs are vital to promote and develop a strong culture of clinical research in the UAE.
