The value of foreign investments in Dubai amounted to approximately AED28 billion over the past year, revealed Fahad Al Gergawi, chief executive officer of Dubai FDI, the foreign investment promotion agency.
Al Gergawi predicted that the value of foreign investments in Dubai during 2015 would rise by between ten per cent and 15 per cent, reports UAE-based Aliqtisadi.
The CEO of Dubai FDI said that the United States, Britain and India are the biggest investors in Dubai during the past ten years.
The Dubai Land Department confirmed that the total investments of Arabs and foreigners in the real estate market in Dubai, since the beginning of the year until mid-March 2015, amounted to approximately AED20.30bn.
Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, director general of the Dubai Land Department, said that the real estate market in Dubai has succeeded in attracting more investments, which amounted to nearly AED6.5bn, through 1,500 Gulf investors since the beginning of the year until mid-March 2015.
