Former Deutsche Bank boss Ackermann joins NBK’s advisory board

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), the Gulf country's largest lender, has appointed the former chairman and chief executive of Deutsche Bank as a member of the bank's international advisory board, Reuters has reported. Josef Ackermann retired in May after more than 10 years at Deutsche Bank's helm and was credited with transforming the bank into a major global player. Ackerman joins other members of the advisory panel including former British Prime Minister John Major and Mohamed El-Erian, the top executive at US bond firm PIMCO.
