OITE Trade Fairs announces that the leading Global Higher Education Exhibition- GHEDEX & the Omanisation Career Fair-OCF 2016 will now be held at the Oman International Exhibition Centre. This announcement comes following a previous one made by OITE Trade Fairs where they announced that the 17th Edition of GHEDEX & 15th Edition of OCF would take place at the new Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC), which is still under construction.
“The decision to hold GHEDEX & OCF 2016 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre,was taken by our company due to the uncertainty surrounding the inauguration dates, and a notification received from the venue operator AEG Ogden, stating that the inauguration of Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre will be postponed to a later date in 2016. OITE continues to be committed to delivering premium quality events and services to its valuable customers” says Mr. Tarek Ali, General Manager- Exhibitions, OITE.
GHEDEX, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), will take place from 19-21 April 2016 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, Muscat, Oman alongside OCF, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Manpower.
“We have already received participation for GHEDEX 2016 from a number of leading universities from UK including University of Stirling, University of Hull, University Of Liverpool, University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN), University of Salford, University of Greenwich (London), University of Exeter, University of Portsmouth and University of Derby. Other universities of note that have confirmed their presence at GHEDEX include California State University, Fresno from USA; Aga Khan University from Pakistan; the Student Campus from Malta; and Oman Medical College & IDP Education PtY Ltd from Oman. GHEDEX will also receive support from DAAD German Academic Exchange Service as Silver Sponsor & Majan College (University College) as Lead Sponsor” says Mr. Ashit Barnes, Exhibition Director- OITE Trade Fairs. The last edition of GHEDEX broke a 16 year record by attracting over 25,000 visitors. Additionally 200 top-notch universities and colleges from over 23 countries participated at the event, with 170 educational bodies and institutions accounting for international participation and 30 for local participation. The last edition of OCF attracted over 5,000 professionals which is the highest number ever recorded in the event’s history.
