Healthcare offers more job opportunities than any other sector in Saudi Arabia, according to a new survey.
The latest Employment Index by leading human resource consultancy Monster reveals that demand for healthcare professionals has been growing tremendously over the past few months and is now leading the charts with a growth of 37 per cent in April 2016, as compared to the same period last year.
HR and admin and sales and business development followed with 4 and 2 per cent growth respectively.
Meanwhile, employment in engineering and production sectors saw a sharp 38 per cent to reach 94 points on the index as against 152 points in the same month in 2015.
Hospitality and travel marketing dropped 27 per cent while communications/arts/creative categories declined 21 per cent.
“Based on the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision, there will be job opportunities for human resource professionals and executive assistants and this growth will certainly trickle down to other industries, too. Although demand for HR & Admin professionals showed a modest annual growth of 4 per cent in April 2016, we are optimistic about the growth prospects of this occupation and expect to see a positive and gradual increase, in line with Vision 2030,” said Sanjay Modi, Managing Director, Monster.com.
