Mashreq Qatar, one of the leading financial institutions in the Middle East & North Africa, has appointed Mr. Henk Jan Hoogendoorn as its new Country Head.
Hoogendoorn will be responsible for leading the bank in it’s mission to provide customers with the most rewarding financial relationships. He will oversee Mashreq Qatar’s future development and lead strategy for growth initiatives in line with Qatar Vision 2030.
Hoogendoorn will look to build on recent successes for Mashreq Qatar which include winning the coveted “Best Customer Service Bank” award from Global Banking and Finance Awards, “Best Regional Retail Bank” award by the Banker Middle East Industry Awards 2014 and retaining “Best Consumer Internet Bank in Qatar” for 6 consecutive years by Global Finance Magazine and title ‘Best Corporate Bank 2014’ by Global Banking and Finance Review Awards 2014.

Prior to his appointment as Mashreq Qatar’s Country Head, Hoogendoorn was the Manager Director, Head Non Bank Financial Institutions for Deutsche Bank Netherlands where he served segments including Insurers, Pension Funds and implemeted strategic and business plans for the Netherlands in line with the Global NBFI Plan.
Hoogendoorn assumed several senior roles at ABNAMRO Bank NV in the Netherlands including: Head of Corporate Clients & Product Sales, Director of Corporate Clients, Head of Strategy & Business Planning and Cash Flow Advisory. He was also Head of Global Transaction Banking & E-business & Corporate Products at the Saudi Hollandi Bank in Riyadh.
