Dr Amy Bowzaylo, Clinical Director & CEO of InTouch Integrated Chiropractic Center Bahrain, served as Race Recovery Director along with a team of dedicated medical practitioners from Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Bahrain successfully treated over 400 athletes from a field of 1,100 for first ever Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship held early this month in Bahrain.
Adding to that success Intouch are proud to announce the fantastic results of one of their sponsored athletes, Marina Lovrek, who has qualified for the 2016 Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Australia.
As the Bahrain race concluded Dr Amy stated “A disappointing start of having the swim cancelled, and strong wind conditions for the remainder of the day made it a challenging race for many athletes. However it was still a successful day, with the country hosting an international event of this calibre and we were able to help many athletes with cramping and muscle strains. Post- race treatment decreased the amount of secondary soreness from the exercise.”
Qualifying athlete Marina Lovrek went on to say “Triathlon training on a daily basis for 6 months can be tough on your body, so a big thanks goes to Dr. Amy and the InTouch team for quickly fixing my ITB injury. Doing triathlon without a coach and doctor that you trust is impossible. Dr. Amy and her team were always there to help me when I felt a slight discomfort with my body, and the expert advice was priceless. I’m really blessed to be part of InTouch triathlon team. Thank you for believing in me and making me a better athlete”
