Jordan hospitals lower treatment bills

Jordan's Private Hospitals Association has said that more than 30 private and army-run hospitals have agreed to reduce treatment costs on patients, both insured and un-insured, Jordan Times has reported. Under the new tariffs, the private hospitals that joined the initiative have cut total bill for uninsured patients by 10%, while those insured will only pay half the percentage of their contribution to medical coverage. Army hospitals agreed to keep their bills subsidised by 25%-30% less than private hospitals for patients not covered by health insurance, the association said.
