Jordan in talks with University of Palermo to set up medical school in Aqaba

Jordan’s Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) has entered into talks with the Italian University of Palermo, in cooperation with the University of Jordan (UJ), aimed at setting up a medical school in Aqaba, Jordan Times has reported. The presence of the ‘advanced’ Prince Hashem Hospital, which is run by the Royal Medical Services, in Aqaba, will provide the needed support to this medical school, said ASEZA chief commissioner, Kamel Mahadin.
