Jordan signs $2.5m UNICEF deal

Jordan and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) have signed a $2.5m protocol to support public schools in the kingdom, Petra has reported. The protocol aims to fund the completion of projects through expanding information technology in schools, psychosocial care, non-formal education and other school-oriented projects. The deal also aims to maintain the quality of public education, reduce school drop-out, and to help disadvantaged children and those with special needs to reach schools more easily.
