KAMCO Investment Company, a leading investment company with one of the largest AUMs in the region, and winner of the prestigious Kuwait Asset Manager of the Year Award 2015, hosted a fitness session for its employees in collaboration with M31 Gym. As part of KAMCO’s Movember campaign to support and spread awareness of various cancers, the fitness session helped in promoting a healthier lifestyle through different exercises and proper techniques.

KAMCO employees attended the session that took place at the Al-Shaheed Tower gym, and was carried out by the M31 fitness instructor Bozo Banovic. Mr Banovic holds a master’s degree in physical education and sports from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. Tackling some of the issues that might lead to prostate cancer, Mr. Banovic demonstrated different exercises and techniques that lead to a healthier lifestyle if performed on a daily basis.

In addition to the fitness session, the marketing department at KAMCO launched an awareness campaign during the month of November under the title, “’Movember: Join KAMCO’s Move”. The campaign included a number of health tips, information and health advice related to early detection of various cancers, specifically prostate cancer. Educational activities involving KAMCO employees were organized to help spread awareness of the diseases while indirectly guiding individuals towards a healthier lifestyle.

Ms. Danah Al Jasem, Head of the Marketing Department at KAMCO said, “We would like to thank Mr. Banovic and M31 Gym for their contribution and support towards our Movember campaign. We were very pleased with the turnout and level of interaction expressed by KAMCO employees and the trainer during this educational session. This is yet another step in our corporate social responsibility initiative to organize events focusing on health, education and the environment, positively influencing our society.”

The fitness session included a short circuit in which KAMCO attendees got a chance to participate and perform some of the exercises and techniques demonstrated in the session. Mr. Banovic assisted each attendee in improving their posture and technique while providing insights on how to work out more effectively. He also emphasized that while exercising will not prevent a person from getting various cancers, it will however help in reducing the risks of developing such diseases.
