Kuwait Finance House (KFH) demonstrated the fundamentals of its corporate social responsibility and the ongoing contributions in this important field, affirming that its social role supports the general development project and targets sustainable development. KFH collaborates and coordinates with the official authorities in efforts to prioritize the key elements of social responsibility represented by health, youth, education, environment and fostering the spirit of social solidarity.
Senior Manager Group Public Relations at KFH- Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh said in his participation in the second forum of the Corporate Social Responsibility held under the patronage of Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al-Subaih that KFH’s social role contributes in transferring expertise and knowledge for the benefit of the whole society. He added that KFH works tirelessly to support sustainable growth efforts, indicating that the social responsibility is social commitment and ongoing work dedicated for the benefit of the society.
At the level of health, KFH offered several contributions with long-term benefits such as the establishment of addiction treatment hospital in 2005, and the establishment of a ward for addiction treatment at the central prison, in addition to building 15 ambulance centers. KFH launched a plethora of awareness campaigns such as breast cancer and diabetes campaigns.
As for education, KFH offered countless contributions in this field such as recognizing graduates, hosting and visiting school students, sponsoring university students’ graduation projects and researches, honoring distinguished students, not to mention supporting students’ events and activities in Kuwait and overseas.
KFH is keen on attaching interest in the youth through supporting their initiatives and activities at all fields. KFH also established a nursing home in Alzour area for people with special needs. The bank organized several programs and events for this segment in collaboration with the official authorities in the country.
