Kuwait to hire doctors from Pakistan

The Kuwaiti government has started the process of recruiting physicians from Pakistan for primary healthcare centres across the Gulf country, Kuna has reported. "Over 230 applications were submitted to the Kuwaiti Embassy in Pakistan and Health Ministry officials have reviewed them," said Dr Khalid Al-Sahlawi, the undersecretary for technical affairs at the health ministry. Last year, the ministry hired more than 50 Pakistani physicians. "They have done a good job in their work in Kuwait and Kuwaiti officials and patients are pleased with their performance," Sahlawi said
