Lebanese industrial exports decline

According to a report by the Lebanese industry ministry, the country's industrial exports fell 0.24% in the first quarter of 2011 amounting to $790m, compared to $792m in the same period last year, The Daily Star has reported. Pearls, precious stones and metals topped Lebanon's exports at $165.9m between January and April, marking an increase in export of the goods compared to last year. Food products and metal exports also increased, while machinery, electrical appliances, paper and cardboard exports declined, the report showed.
