Lebanon sees industrial exports rise 3%

Lebanese industry ministry has said industrial exports in the first half of 2011 rose 3% to $1.709bn from $1.659bn during the same period in 2010, The Daily Star has reported. Exports of pearls and precious stones [excluding gold] ranked first in the list of Lebanese industrial exports, amounting to $377.6m in the first half of 2011, with South Africa being the top importer of these products, the ministry said.
