Leminar, Soler & Palau conduct a seminar in Oman

Leminar Air Conditioning, one of the region’s most sought after HVAC distributors, conducted a seminar on “Design of Underground Parking Ventilation System using Jet Fans” on 14th of October, 2015.

The seminar was presented along with S&P (Soler & Palau), Spain S&P is the largest manufacturer of ventilation products in Europe and Leminar is the exclusive distributor of S&P products in UAE, Qatar and Oman markets.

The panel comprised of Jordi Canet, Export Area Manager at S & P, Amer Ahmad Fauri, Business Development Manager for S&P, Paul Mason, Business Development Manager at S&P, Pramodh Idicheria, GM of Leminar and Faisal Shaikh, Area Manager of Leminar Oman. Delegates from all the leading government departments, consultants and contractors also attended the informative seminar.

The main speaker was Paul Mason who is a veteran in the field of ventilation and works in the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) division of S&P.

He introduced the reasons for NPV to reduce pollution and EM to clear smoke in event of a car fire, and explained the difference between Smoke Clearance and Smoke Control. Further, he described the operation of a Jet fan with examples of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and specifically mentioned that the CFD software that the S&P is using is developed in-house by the S&P engineering design team and is the most accurate analysis available in the industry.
