Millennium Plaza Hotel Dubai, one of the luxury accommodations along Sheikh Zayed Road, received two key certifications, the ISO 14001:2004 for implementation of Environmental Management System (EMS) and OHSAS 18001:2007 for developing Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management system in compliance with the international standards.
The EMS system process involves the implementation of various sustainable practices, including waste recycling, energy conservation and environment awareness in line with the hotel’s environmental policy. The OHSA certificate will assist the hotel in managing and controlling health and safety risks and continually improving OH&S performance.
The certifications are proof of the property’s continuous commitment to comply with international standards and strict compliance with environmental management systems, quality management systems and safety measures.
Mr. Daniel Mathew, General Manager, Millennium Plaza Hotel Dubai said “We are delighted to share this great achievement and we are extremely proud to earn the ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications. This confirms our commitment towards continuous adherence to high standards of performance through sustainable environment and safety practices to create an eco-friendly and healthy environment for guests and employees.”
The ISO Certifications were presented to Millennium Plaza Hotel Dubai by United Registrar of Systems (URS Certification), a British-based global leader in business standards that works in more than 30 countries within the multinational URS Holdings.
