Oman’s Raysut wants anti-dumping measures on UAE cement exporters

Oman-based cement producer Raysut Cement has urged the government to impose strong anti-dumping measures on UAE cement producers to maintain prices in the domestic market, Times of Oman has reported. “There is a need to bring in restrictions on UAE exports to Oman,” board member of Raysut Cement, Ahmed Yusuf, told the daily. “A truck should not have more than 5,000 tonnes of cement and total exports from the UAE should not exceed 30,000 tonnes per month,” Yusuf said. Raysut Cement is now waiting for the government decision since the government has to take a strategic decision on this issue, he added.
