The DFM General Index finished a roller-coaster trading session on Tuesday, December 23, 3.44 per cent lower at 3,719.44 points. Oil prices ducked earlier in the day, signalling that the recent recovery from the crash is not a one-way road upwards.
UNIKAI (United Kaipara Dairies) gained the most (up 14.99 per cent at AED520). Emaar Malls recorded the biggest drop and dived 6.44 per cent to AED2.76. Online retailer Marka added 0.81 per cent to AED1.24.
Five shares advanced, while 27 declined in value.
Approximately 723 million stocks were traded, valued at AED1.076 billion.
