Prestigious sustainability award goes to Sharjah

Bee’ah honored with a high-status award for Sustainable Company of the Year

Bee’ah, the Middle East’s award-winning and leading integrated environmental and waste management company, was announced yesterday as a winner of the Big Project Middle East’s Construction and Sustainability Awards of Excellence, for the Sustainable Company of the Year category in a glitzy event, held annually in Dubai, UAE.

In awarding Bee’ah, Big Project Middle East recognized Bee’ah’s commitment to placing sustainability at the heart of its strategy, as the award sought to encourage companies and government departments that have embraced sustainability and pushed their partners to do the same.

This accolade is a further acknowledgment of Bee’ah’s position as a pioneer in the environmental management industry, in terms of providing eco-efficient solutions and sustainable methods for Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates.

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee’ah congratulated Bee’ah for its milestone achievements, and commented by saying; “To be among those recognized as environmental pioneers further inspires us to increase the potential of our company to generate a positive impact on society and the environment. We seek a sustainable development agenda that goes beyond waste management and is in fact inserted into our long-term strategy.”

He added: “Bee’ah firmly believes that a long-term investment in eco-efficiency is central to its future growth, to the delivery of world-class environmental service, and to maximize environmental benefit for Sharjah. Bee’ah is pushing the boundaries of eco-friendly standards to ultimately ensure that Sharjah can achieve higher levels of environmental sustainability.”

The award reflected progress being made in Sharjah in pursuit of sustainability. In addition, Sharjah was lauded for supporting the sustainable development goals by illustrating, through Bee’ah, that the transition to low-carbon, resource-efficient, and sustainable economic models is not just possible, but already in progress.
