Provacuno is the Spanish Inter-professional Association representing the Beef sector. As part of the program called ‘What a Wonderful Beef’ from the European Union, Provacuno has been organizing and hosting several high profile events from March 2017 to create awareness about Spain as one of the best origins for the highest quality Beef products. Backed by the European Union and the Spanish Government, Provacuno is starting to succeed in opening various channels and avenues for strategic alliances with local UAE importers and distributors interested in including the Spanish products in their portfolios.
Provacuno is being also the Platinum sponsor of the Spanish National Day Dinner hosted by the Spanish Embassy in the UAE and the Spanish Business Council at Fairmont Hotel Abu Dhabi last October 13th. This event, one more year, it was a great success with more than 1400 attendants including the Ambassador of Spain, H.E. Antonio Alvarez Barthe, government officials, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Ambassadors and officials from most of the countries with diplomatic presence in Abu Dhabi, media and top influencers.
In November 6th, in close cooperation with ICCA Dubai ( International Center for Culinary Arts ), Chef Kisko García and his team there was a Masterclass with live show cooking and tasting for the ICCA students and for accredited Media professionals, Influencers and Bloggers.
The next day, November 7th , there was a Cocktail dinner served by Chef Kisko García ( from el Choco Córdoba, with Star Michelin and famous for pairing tradition and vanguard in the cuisine ) hosted by H.E. the Spanish Ambassador at his residence in Abu Dhabi and with the presence of a selected group of key stakeholders in the Food Industry and the Gastronomy scene in the UAE.
Beef meat, one of the most important sectors within the Spanish meat industry is known for its efficient and sustainable production. The Spanish beef production accounts for 2.760 M € per year. What makes beef production in Spain different from others is its sustainable production model, a variety of breeds, the type of young animals consumed, a wide range of cuts depending on the age at the time of slaughter, and distinct quality seals.
PROVACUNO is the Agro-food Inter-professional Organization of the Spanish Beef Industry. This non-profit organization is officially recognized by the Spanish Government and the European Union and represents 85% of the Spanish Beef Industry as it includes the main organizations of beef producers, processors and traders. The main objective of the inter-professional organization PROVACUNO is to protect the interests of the beef industry in all stages, from production to trading. PROVACUNO is firmly convinced that this is a tool for further expansion outside its borders and for the commercialization of its products in export markets and the impact of these series of actions has been proven successful with continuous progress in the trading relationship between the two countries.
