A group of 15 young male and female Qatari national employees working in the Finance Group of RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) have successfully completed the rigorous Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Accounting Skills Certificate (ASC).
The Qatari employees were registered with the ICAEW and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and gained extensive accounting knowledge and professional skills during the six month structured training programme which was jointly developed by ICAEW and PwC.
RasGas Chief Executive Officer, Hamad Mubarak Al Muhannadi, along with Tom McHale, Chief Finance Officer was present at the graduation ceremony held at RasGas Head Quarters in Doha. Michael Armstrong, Regional Director of ICAEW, Amanda Line, Partner, PwC’s academy UAE, Maaz Barakat, Lecturer PwC’s academy and other representatives from ICAEW and PwC also attended the ceremony.

The ASC programme provides RasGas employees with a strong platform to fast-track their careers and to pursue further professional accounting qualifications such as Associate Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
All 15 of the candidates graduated the challenging ASC programme with 2 participants achieving a merit score and a remarkable 13 participants achieving the highest distinction score.
