Round Table Pizza, an American pizza restaurant icon known for gourmet quality and fresh innovation has opened its first restaurant in Bahrain in partnership with Al Mahroos Foods.
The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Undersecretary of Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Nader Khalil Almoayyed, in attendance of officials from Al Mahroos Foods, M.H. Al Mahroos amongst others.
The restaurant is located within Al Raya Mall in Juffair and caters to dine in, take-out and delivery customers.
A team of Bahraini managers successfully completed intensive training in San Francisco over a period of eight weeks. The training covered a range of aspects from food preparation, hygiene, management, “train the trainer”, quality control and customer service. “The training team from Bahrain all performed exceptionally and passed the Round Table Pizza Operational Certification program” said Mike Buck, Director of International Operation for Round Table Pizza Inc.
Round Table Pizza prides itself with offering the highest quality ingredients and differentiates itself with its hand-rolled dough made fresh every day at each restaurant, sauces prepared fresh daily and a specialty three-cheese blend. Extensive research and development, supported by laboratories in Bahrain and the USA, was conducted to ensure high quality and taste by utilizing locally sourced goods, such as Bahrain Flour Mills products and local water supplies. These would be used as part of the dough and sauce preparation for the Bahrain operations.
“We are pleased to support our local producers and industry, such as Bahrain Flour Mills’ products as a base ingredient in preparing dough as part of our regional operations, in addition to other Bahraini and regional suppliers for meats, vegetables and other key items,” said Ali Ghali, Co-Founder of Al Mahroos Foods.
“We are proud to bring the great taste of Round Table Pizza to Bahrain and the GCC region,” said Ted Storey, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development for Round Table Pizza, Inc. while attending the grand opening event at Al Raya Mall, Juffair. “Our customers deserve Round Table’s delicious west coast pizza made with the highest quality ingredients after years of compromising with discount brands in Bahrain and the rest of the Gulf Region,” he added.
A second Round Table Pizza branch in Bahrain is currently under development and is located across the street from the Ministry of Labour at Sultan Mall, Zayed Town. Further branches are in design phase across Bahrain and the broader GCC region.
