Saudi Arabia says Similac Gain Plus is botulinum-free

The Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) has confirmed that Similac Gain Plus products being sold in the kingdom are free from clostridium botulinum, a bacterium that could cause botulism, Arab News has reported. Tests conducted at international labs proved that the bacteria did not contaminate Similac baby milk sold in the country, said the SFDA. "As a result we allow agent of Abbot Company in the kingdom to market the products with all batch numbers," it said.
