Saudi Arabia’s AIC Steel acquires UK production plant

Saudi Arabia’s Arabian International Company for Steel Structures (AIC) has acquired a plant for South Wales-based Rowecord Engineering, as part of an expansion drive targeting the UK market, BBC has reported. AIC will make the 28,000sq m plant its UK manufacturing hub. About 18,000 tonnes of structural steel will be made every year at the plant for the company, which built the Kingdom Tower and Medina Airport, both in Saudi Arabia.
