Saudi cabinet approves kingdom’s first mortgage law

Saudi Arabia has said approved the kingdom's first mortgage law, more than a decade after it was first proposed, Bloomberg has reported. The legislation stipulates the regulations to establish mortgage companies and their activities, minister of culture and information, Abdulaziz Khoja, said after a cabinet meeting. The law is part of an overhaul of the country's home finance market aimed at regulating all parts of the industry.
