Saudi consumer complaints to be referred to court

Saudi Arabia’s Consumer Protection Association (CPA) is planning to refer consumer complaints against retailers to courts in the kingdom, Saudi Gazette has reported. Complaints are usually solved amicably, but in certain situations it is necessary to take further legal action, a CPA source said. “The CPA has received 20,000 complaints and 70% were solved amicably, 20% are under review and 10% were referred to other concerned bodies,” the source said.
