Saudi reports 1195 new HIV cases detected in 2011

The Saudi health ministry has said 1195 news HIV cases had been detected in the kingdom in 2011, Saudi Gazette has reported. Of the total, 459 were Saudis and the remaining 736 were non-Saudis, said Dr Rafat Al-Hakeem, director of the department for sexually transmitted diseases at the ministry, adding that free medical treatment is provided by the ministry to all HIV cases in the country.
