Sharp Middle East and Africa hosted a roadshow to preview its latest Intelligent Touch board (ITB) for educational institutions and businesses based in Dubai Internet City (DIC). The two-day event that started on June 1 and took place in DIC’s ‘Building 3’ was the second time ITB was displayed in the UAE after being showcased for the first time at GESS 2014 this March.
“With its enhanced functionalities and features, the Intelligent Touch Board will empower businesses and educational institutes in their endeavor to create the best interactive experience for employees and students,” said Tomoo Shimizu, Director, Business Solutions Division at Sharp Middle East and Africa. “The roadshow has been a great success so far and will continue at the Dubai Academic City on June 8 – 9”.
Sharp’s ITB makes the educational and business environment more intuitive, interactive and collaborative. It allows simultaneous writing by up to four users and collaborations with tablet devices. The fitted touch panel of the new product enables high-speed touch detection and provides a speedy and smooth writing experience to users due to the improved refresh rate as well as the new pressure sensor pen. It detects the position of the touch pen up to 200 times per second, which is 1.4 times faster compared to existing models.
Available in 60″ and 70″, the product is bundled with “Touch Display Link 2.0” which is a support software that enables wireless collaboration between ITB, PCs and mobile devices, sharing onscreen content and bidirectional writing. It also features handwriting recognition function that converts handwriting into standard text, which can prove useful when sharing meeting or classroom notes with participants or students.
