UAE based Silver Spoon Investments has opened the doors to its first restaurant, allowing Dubai residents to enjoy high quality Japanese food at an affordable price.
The concept for Atisuto, which means ‘artist’ in Japanese, is based on the back- alley sushi restaurants found in Japan’s big cities, where the bustle of city life and creativity of the cuisine combine, creating a fast-paced, unique atmosphere.
With original Japanese art and graffiti sprawling the walls, and a modern funky interior design, Atisuto will be the place to catch up with friends or relax in a casual, yet chic environment at the newly opened Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road in Jumeirah.
Chef Aijiro has used his traditional Japanese technique and blended it with modern influences to create a delicious menu at Atisuto focused on sushi, sashimi, robata grill, yakitori, udon and ramen soups, with all dishes prepared fresh on a daily basis. The busy open sushi counter and robatta grill give guests the chance to see the creative Japanese chef hard at work and admire the art behind this exceptional cuisine.
“Atisuto will show guests the influence Japanese creativity has on its culture and cuisine by offering a fresh and unique menu in an art-inspired environment,” said Salem Bin Dasmal, Founder of Silver Spoon Investments. “We decided to create a unique space in terms of design and the cuisine on offer. In addition to the artistic environment our service is based on creating loyalty with our guests by recognising them, remembering their favourite drinks and connecting with them socially, every time they step through the door,” he added.
The interiors of the restaurant are artistically unique. The space was inspired by avant-garde artists obsessed with Japanese Culture who entered the industrial space and expressed themselves freely, painting directly on the walls and floors. Up-cycled materials salvaged from local warehouses and yards, such as rusty metal and gnarled wood, were used in the fit out and design of Atisuto. Everything at the restaurant is based on sustainability and the importance of using locally sourced, environmentally friendly materials. From the furniture and general fit out, to the food used in the kitchen, wherever possible products were sourced from local UAE suppliers and companies.
Founded in 2013, Silver Spoon Investments LLC is set to create and develop a UAE-born restaurant group that focuses on homegrown food and beverage concepts that can rival inbound international franchises. Silver Spoon aim to make a difference in the industry through sustainable design, quality service, impeccable food and innovative technology.
Located in Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road with a seating capacity of 60 indoor and 16 seats on the terrace, Atisuto is open daily for lunch and dinner. There are plans for a second branch in Bay Square, Business Bay, to open in 2015.
