Study shows Oman to achieve double digit credit growth next year

Bank of America Merill Lynch (BoAML) has said that after the short-lived unrest witnessed by Oman, banks in the sultanate are expected to achieve double-digit credit growth next year, driven by an uptick in corporate credit activity, Muscat Daily has reported. "Our latest trip to Oman reinforced our view that economic activity is back on track and that banks are again eager to lend," the report said. "With a promising government spending plan and a new set of initiatives, we expect a benign outlook for credit growth in Oman overall."
