Subway targeting 1,000 outlets by 2015 in MEA

US-based fast food restaurant franchise, Subway, which has more than 450 locations in Middle East and Africa, is aiming to have 1,000 locations by 2015, focusing on GCC, Turkey and Africa regions, Emirates 24-7 has reported. "We are experiencing an increase in our market share in each country. The brand has created a buzz and the demand for healthier eating habits has grown up," said Hicham Ghazal, Regional Marketing Manager for Middle East & Africa. The company, which will soon celebrate its 48th year in business, has recently opened its 40,000th location at an AppleGreen petrol station in Ipswich, England.
