Tadweer, The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi, is participating as a logistic partner at the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival 2015, which is open until December 12th, 2015 in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi. The event highlights the rich traditions, heritage and culture of the UAE, emphasizing its diversity through several educational and interactive activities.
His Excellency Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Tadweer, said: “The festival is organized in honor of the UAE’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in recognition of the pivotal role he played in preserving the UAE’s heritage, tradition and customs, and the way he encouraged everyone to love UAE and preserve its heritage. Through such events, we transfer those values to our children and help realize his vision of pride, preservation and development of such heritage for the next generations.”
“This participation comes as part of the vital role played by Tadweer to develop, collect, maintain, transport, operate and handle all waste management services in a safe and effective way all over Abu Dhabi – a role that is in line with the Abu Dhabi 2030 Vision and helps realize our strategic goals,” he added.
Over the duration of the festival, Tadweer will be providing all cleaning supplies and needs, including workers, machineries and containers, to ensure full cleanliness of the festival area and reflect an image worthy of Abu Dhabi. It will also be present as part of a comprehensive awareness tent that presents workshops and educational activities to spread environmental awareness and the culture of recycling and reducing waste. The tent received great response from its first day.
The Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival 2015 is one of the most important cultural events in the UAE, and will continue until December 12th. Activities are held seven days a week, from 3.00 p.m. until 10.00 p.m.
Through its participation in the festival, Tadweer seeks to achieve the lofty goals of its establishment, embody its future visions, and implement its integrated strategic plan as an agency responsible for monitoring and coordinating waste management activities throughout Abu Dhabi, which, in turn, includes the execution of waste management strategy and covers all aspects of the necessary services to build a modern, integrated waste management system. Additionally, it coordinates all contractual policies, strategies and systems of waste management in Abu Dhabi.
