Greek cement maker Titan has said its Egyptian unit is looking at opportunities to expand in Egypt through bidding in ready-mix cement, Reuters has reported. "If there is any opportunity (for bidding) we will see the pros and cons and will participate of course. But this is not the only way to increase capacity," Medhat Stefanos, group commercial director of Titan Cement Egypt (TCE) told the news service. "You can increase capacity with some diversification in the product mix," Stefanos said. "We started (ready-mix) in Alexandria but we are soon expanding in Cairo as well. During 2011 we are going to add another two plants for ready mix."
