UAE eyes $100bn medical tourism industry

Raza Siddiqui, the executive director of RAK Hospital has said the UAE's excellent infrastructure, standard quality healthcare and competitive pricing could help it capture a considerable share of the global medical tourism, which is expected to become a $100bn industry this year, Khaleej Times has reported. "Billions of dollars have been invested in the healthcare system, especially in Dubai and accredited clinics across the country to attract medical tourists from across the globe," Siddiqui, who is also chief executive of Arabian Healthcare Group, told the daily.
