UAE investments in Jordan exceed $15 billion

Emirates benefiting from investment environment and incentives available in Kingdom

Bilal Rabie Bilal Al Bodour, the UAE Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, said that the UAE is a true partner to Jordan in implementing development programmes and projects.

Al Bodour added that the UAE is benefiting from the investment environment and incentives available in the Kingdom, reports Jordan-based Alghad.

The Emirati ambassador made his remarks during his visit with a high-level UAE delegation to the projects in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, which has Emirati capital investments of more than $11 billion, represented in Port Zayed and Saraya Aqaba projects.

He said: “this cooperation is a real addition to the relations between the two countries and will enhance the ability of the Kingdom to attract more Arab and international investments.”

He pointed out that the UAE’s investments in Jordan exceeded $15bn, while last year, the trade volume reached $1.4bn.
