UAE to use new devices to detect bad meat

The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has started using new devices to ensure the meat sold in the emirate complies with set health standards, Gulf News has reported. Inspectors are using laser device to measure the internal heat in the meat would prevent frozen meat from being sold as fresh. Another device is also being used that measures the fat content in chopped or cut meat to detect discarded meat parts mixed with good chopped or cut meat, Mohammad Jalal Al Reyaysa, director of communication and community service at ADFCA, said.
